More War on Science

It seems that high-ranking non-scientist Julie MacDonald has been very busy rewriting endangered species science so the government can avoid protecting them. See the actual report on this here. The species involved, and the locations affected, are all over the place, but some of the story sounds as though Plum Creek managed to get her to rewrite for their benefit, getting that project out of the area proposed to protect the Canadian Lynx.
This is a huge story, and I hope the mainstream media get all over it. How did she get where she is, and who's her boss, who should have kept her doing her job, rather than helping to gut environmental protection? How fast can decisions affected by her behavior be revisited? Is there anything this administration won't do to the environment, our environment, in order to help rich people get richer? Anything?
